Live sessions Vs Recorded session 🏋️‍♂️

Dear all,

Warm greetings.

Online training has gained popularity in the last few years for a lot of reasons. The most recent being the Coronavirus Pandemic. As we all know from past 2 months, all the educational institutions are shut. Even now, there’s no confirmed update on the reopening .

Online trainings mostly takes place through the internet and can be categorized into 2 types :

Live online sessions
• Recorded online sessions

Live or recorded, both of the types have their own strengths and weaknesses majorly depending upon our requirements.

Live sessions take place through various apps where trainers and trainees come face to face virtually via video calling whereas recorded sessions can be online or offline whatever you choose.

The most important features are:

Live online sessions: You can get your doubts cleared at the very same time.

Recorded online sessions: You can stop the lecture, restart it and revise again and again at any point of time.

Live sessions give you the opportunity to interact with people and get to know a lot of things that we tend to miss during an ongoing lecture.

The sessions or the trainings are not only for the students but can be for anyone. For eg. Employer giving training to employee, institutes giving to professionals, etc.

During live sessions, one has to be present with a decent background at a particular time decided by the the trainer whereas the recorded sessions are accessible anytime and anywhere.

Surely, recorded sessions have a better accessibility but live sessions are more personal and life-like.

For some of the learners, speaking directly to the trainers is a healthy sign of communication and very similar to the physical classroom trainings but for some, staying anonymous and learning at the same time seals the deal.

Live sessions are very much restrictive because it mostly for a group of people at the same time whereas recorded sessions can be on easy, intermediary or advanced levels as per our own needs.

Live sessions tend to give the attendees a chance to participate in discussions whereas recorded sessions let you be on your own.

Personal Opinion : I prefer recorded sessions because of its accessibility all around and I can go back, restart the video or pause it in the middle to take notes for my better understanding.

Thank you.
